It didn't start with a business plan. It started with curiosity.

About the forest. About nourishment. About the quiet brilliance of things that work underground - out of sight, but deeply connected to everything above.

That's what fungi are: the unseen network holding things together. Slow-growing, wise, resilient, and transformative. And somehow, that felt like the right place to begin.

This holiday season feels like the right moment too.

While the world gets louder and faster, I find myself wanting to offer something slower, smaller, and more intentional. Something that honours the people we gather with, the meals we make, the stories that weave us together. Something that tastes like care.

Fable and Fungi isn’t just about gourmet mushrooms. It’s about crafting something meaningful from the ground up, right from home, using real ingredients and mindful methods. It’s about inviting people into a little bit of magic that’s grounded in the everyday.

Over time, I’ll be sharing more about how mushrooms can nourish us, not just as food, but as teachers. They remind us to grow slowly, give generously, and stay rooted.

For now, I’m starting small, with limited holiday boxes, made in micro-batches, with as much heart as hands. It’s a way to share what’s been growing behind the scenes and to offer something special for the season of giving.
